Atlanta-based artist Alex Brewer (also known as Hense) was recently in Detroit, Michigan working on a big commissioned public project curated by Library Street Collective Gallery.
The result is a 100×100 foot mural painted by Hense with the help of his assistant in the heart of downtown Detroit on the side of Bedrock Real Estates Madison Theater Building.
Over 6 stories tall this wall took over two weeks to complete and is a good example of Hense’s oeuvre. A huge mural where the american artist incorporates a combination of lines, shapes and organic forms reminding us of the work of classic abstract expressionism.
Certainly a beautiful and unique piece where a variety of bright colours and shapes seem to explode all over the work.
