reforestando-valmntone-doa-oa-4 Spanish artist DOA is back with this new street piece for this year’s Memorie Urbane festival in Valmontone, Italy.
Titled “Rimboscando Valmontone” or Reforesting Valmonte the new mural represents a continuation of DOA’s personal project “Reforestation”
described by the artist as “the transformation of public space through an intervention in the based reality of perspective observation, supported by the sole ambition of rebirth, and the rebirthing consciousness surrounding it.” The project has also been motivated by what the artist describes as “an urgent need to equally respect and value the natural environment, the importance of awareness of everything that is part of it, including native species and its residents.” In this way the mural interventions work as reminders of the true nature and meaning of what surrounds us.
This is also the case of Rimboscando Valmonte in many ways an homage to Mother Nature and of course the love for nature.
