German artist Rafael Gerlach also known as SatOne was recently in Cologne, Germany where he painted this wonderful mural for the CityLeaks Festival.
The new mural, entitled “Diary” shows bits of dreams, bits of a life. Pages of a diary that tell a story where a long road of experiences and feelings give form (if not the other way around) to colourful shapes, landscapes and recognisable figurative elements.
Satone’s art is, as we have seen before, characterised by a skilful mixture of a powerful graphic style with improvised abstract elements that open up dimensions in which graphic design, illustration and abstract art melt into an inseparable unity.
