Beautiful in a very singular way, the work of Italian illustrator and muralist Luca Ledda is certainly something special.
His line work makes everything possible through surrealist depictions of an alternate reality. Mythical, surreal, intelligent, reflective, all descriptions that do the trick when it comes to describe his art.
Painted at the well-known local nightclub Astoria in Turin, the black background highlights the two pink figures that seem to show more than skin, revealing something from the inside and floating on a dark unknown space.
Loving this kind of visual language. Check out his Flickr, its great!

I like his approach to his work, I like how the position of the man parallels the position of the whale, linking the two subjects. It’s also cool how these are painted in a nightclub, makes for a very different vibe!

The distorsion of the human body is the thing that i like more in the Luca Ledda work. He plays with that in so different and disturbing ways. For example in his Flickr, the man in a meat hamburger, being the meat. Its just amazing.
