Mixing popular culture imagery with realistic portraiture creates UK artist Dale Grimshaw interesting pieces where two very different worlds get confronted.
The new mural features a beautiful portrait of a tribal African boy surrounded by imagery of Disney, superheroes and theme parks. What Grimshaw is trying to highlight is unknown for me so I can just speculate. The boy seems to be a representation of our interior world set against the power of the entertaining industry, both very strong. Interesting piece.
