A quick post with some news from OX who recently dropped a couple of pieces in Dresden.
Working for years with collages and a minimalistic imagery on billboards around the world, creates OX colorful urban interventions called by the artist “Affichages“.
His visual language is reflective and minimalistic: mono- and polychromatic stripes and shapes are often reminiscent of artists like Daniel Buren where architectural and colour accents in the urban context are reinterpreted and posted ads are breached by reduced optical illusions or replaced by geometric compositions, always drawing its power from the friction with its urban context. Just like in the two pieces here closely related to their surroundings.
