“Cameras” is Spanish artist SpY latest installation and consists in 150 fake security cameras “placed on a building facade with the intention of watching over nothing”.
Specialising in “interventional” pieces which are all about subverting the expected, can SpY turn perfectly ordinary objects into practical jokes and social critique. In this case the indiscriminate use of surveillance technology.
