Australian artist Numskull is now in Vienna as part of a month long artist residency with PERFEKT WORLD at Museums Quartier and present a selection of new works in the Perfekt Box, an exhibition entitled ‘Bust!’.
During this time he had the opportunity to spend time painting a couple of walls including Inoperable Gallery‘s rotating wall on Siebensterngasse and another new one a little further up the street with Mr Penfold.
‘Bust!’ explores according to the gallery “the artists‘ fascination of the human obsession with beauty and the everyday struggle to keep up appearance. He finds the oddity in human relationships and interaction. From the simplest of personality quirks to the boldest of personality statements. Numskull uses bold, colourful and abstract like forms to create statuesque like figures that project a composite idea of us as people and how we might see each other.”
Something that we certainly can see in his mural work. Here a few pics provided by Numskull and Perfekt World.
