Welsh born Stormie Mills is another artist participating from this year’s Public Forms Festival in his now hometown Perth in Australia.
Stormie Mills work is easy to spot and is characterized by a restricted palette of black, white and greys, colours that achieve a particular meaning in his oeuvre; the black representing dirt, the white the attempt to remove it, the grey as a metaphor for the cityscape and the silvers for dreams. In many ways an expression of the sense of isolation inherent in Mills work, just like this new mural located on Murray St car park.
