Robert Proch is now in USA where he just finished this impressive mural titled “Dance with uncle Sam” painted for the Richmond Mural project 2014.
Once again we meet Proch’s incredibly rich imagery inspired by both animation, classic caricature, impressionism and the so-called ‘modernist graffiti’. The reds colouring Uncle Sam give you the feeling of being confronted with something dark and scary, the devil? whilst the figures in the foreground achieve a more ‘ghostly’ appearance. Strong piece.

This year the Richmond Mural project will be adding 20 new murals to the city painted for some of the most influential muralists in the world, including names like Wes21, Sepe, Robert “Tone” Proch, Ron English, Onur, Meggs, Ekundayo, David Flores and Chazme 718. A promising line up!
