Stepping a bit away from his recent work, ARYZ creates this wonderful realistic painting, a huge mural painted last week in Granollers, a city very close to his hometown Cardedeu.
The mural depicts the Greek fertility gods Priapus and Demeter, in massive scale, looking over the city streets in the process.
“For me it’s amazing to work where I grew up painting walls in the river side… a place where a lot of people had painted and where I used to check my favourite graffiti writers.
The title “Príap i Demèter” was chosen from a bunch of different names proposed by people walking by while I was painting. It refers to two greek gods, Priapus and Demeter.”
