Sepe is another artist at this year’s ARTURb residency in Lagos, Portugal for which he created this beautiful mural titled “What Goes Around Comes Around”.
The mural remind us of traditional history painting with a linear narrative which in this case works as a comment on the history of the country going from a powerful conqueror status to face the huge exodus most of it population is experiencing due the lack of opportunities.
The colours seem to mark a transition between these two stages, going from a dark lilac to  grey and soft pinks. His character are drawn as sketches, in a recognizable comic-like style and integrating the structural elements of the building into the composition. Nostalgia and insecurity are two words that come to my mind. Beautiful work.
