Argentinian artist Francisco Bosoletti also known as just Fran Bosoletti native city of Armstrong a small town in Argentina, recently painted this new mural showing some of what has become his signature imagery.
The new mural, titled ‘Dormido’ or ‘ Asleep’ was created in collaboration with Martin Urquilla, the maker of the video below and as the title may suggest is the portrait of a sleeping town.
Bosoletti’s works, based on their learning in the classic style, show great interest in human representation, varying in technique as the surrounding environment all mixed with a hint of social awareness. His chosen symbol is the, the tulip representing the world of ‘financial speculation’, a real issue in todays’s Argentina. With vigorous brushwork and a palette of earth tones, Bosoletti explores the feminine and masculine sides of his characters directed by the inevitable tulip elements interacting with the energetic line work that defines the composition.
