Doa Ocampo is back with this new mural titled “Wild Fruits” part of her ongoing project”Reforesting” and painted at the municipal swimming pool Concello de Sober in Lugo, Galicia.
The mural depicts brambles and wild strawberries that you usually find during late Spring and Summer seasons and that in this case relate to the building they are painted on and that only opens during the warm season when these kind of fruits grow.

The artist describes the Reforestation project as “the transformation of public space through an intervention in the based reality of perspective observation, supported by the sole ambition of rebirth, and the rebirthing consciousness surrounding it.” The project has also been motivated by what the artist describes as “an urgent need to equally respect and value the natural environment, the importance of awareness of everything that is part of it, including native species and its residents.” In this way the mural interventions work as reminders of the true nature and meaning of what surrounds us.
