1 Argentinian artist Nina Kunan and Chilean Coas were recently in Bolivia invited by to take part in the Third version of the Manifiesto Urbano festival in Santa Cruz de las Sierras, Bolivia for which they painted this surrealist mural.
Titled “The painting road”, the new wall speaks about graffiti and the process and experience of painting itself, the challenge of climbing on the walls, which the artists describe as a sometimes an unstable and heavy road”, but also the solidarity and friendship between artists, the tools used and of course the roll of the viewer, here represented by the mouths and eyes gazing from and to the mural. On top of this surreal mountain a human-like figure seems to try to reach a glowing roller and cap that in many ways have illuminated their way to the top, according to the artists a reference to the fact that they, despite the adversities just keep painting not matter what.
