After his last piece in Trecchina, Italy for the Incipit art project (here), Spanish artist Pablo S. Herrero headed to Arce in order to take part of this year’s Memorie Urbane festival in collaboration with Associazione 56 K.
As usual his silhouetted trees seem to invade the painted surface in an attempt to bring nature back to the urban space. Delicate and poetic ‘The first sense’ is based on the writings of Jan Svankmajer, a Czech artist and filmmaker who said that the sense of touch is the first to experiences a human being, an idea that here is depicted through the two trees trying to ’embrace’ each other.
