Belgian artist ROA has been chosen as the first artist taking part of a new artist-in-residency program organized by JUSTKIDS in Puerto Rico.
According to JUSTKIDS press release ROA was chosen due to his wild animal murals that often depict the natural world and declining biodiversity fitting the residency that intends to provide a unique opportunity for artists to discover the island of Puerto Rico.
Considered one of the most renowned street artists today, ROA is no stranger to the streets of Puerto Rico where he painted a mural for Los Muros Hablan back in 2012. This time, he intends to take full advantage of JUSTKIDS’ new studio in the old city of San Juan, to work on new projects as well as a series of outdoor murals around San Juan and the island of Puerto Rico.
