Owner of a unique style, and like many modernist masters, the work of Italian artist Giorgio Bartocci draws its inspiration from ‘primitive’ art with a strong expressionist influence. His work is visceral, fluid and energetic. The focal points are many and seem to invite the viewer into a dynamic dialogue by forcing them to navigate through the painted surface in every possible way.
That is precisely the case of ‘Dream & Tension’ painted somewhere in the outskirts of Varese, Italy for the Urban Canvas festival where he adventures into a further abstraction of his human-like characters, but without completely losing their identity.
