BLU-Rome-1

After a relatively long break due to injury, Italian street art legend BLU is back in the streets of Rome where he recently finished this six-story mural in the Casal de’ Pazzi neighbourhood.
The new mural, painted with the support of the local community, no scaffolding, and just a rope and painting equipment, is a sharp comment to the evolution and destiny of modern society.
The mural depicts an ascending spiral, from simple organisms on the bottom, to dinosaurs, birth of new species, development of the human race, to the birth of “civilization” and development of industrialized society that eventually, in a short span of time, leads to the destruction of the planet. Frightening, but true.
