Italian Giorgio Bartocci is again in the spotlight with Miniera, a new solo show at Altrove Gallery, a new space dedicated to contemporary art in Catanzaro, Italy.
As part of his residency, Bartocci painted “Sanguinis Effusione”, experiencing and celebrating the contemporary approach within historical sites such as the old town center of Catanzaro.
Owner of a unique style, and like many modernist masters, the work of Italian artist Giorgio Bartocci draws its inspiration from ‘primitive’ art with a strong expressionist influence. His work is visceral, fluid and energetic. The focal points are many and seem to invite the viewer into a dynamic dialogue by forcing them to navigate through the painted surface in every possible way. The new work is no exception.
