Spanish street artist Spidertag sent a few days ago images of this new and exciting wall in Madrid created for the project Mind the Wall (#14) commissioned by Swinton & Grant Gallery as part as Secuencias Mínimas, his first solo show in this city.
The new mural is characteristic of Spidertag’s work, always geometrical, abstract, fashioned with yarn and nails, and sprung from the artist’s fascination for experimentation and the simplicity of form, dimension, and materials.
Making use of nails, wool yarn and found objects Spidertag creates interesting geometric abstractions often placed in beautifully lonely locations, hence the name “spider” referring to his love for abandoned places.
