Morik was recently in Ukraine where he painted this magnificent mural for Mural Social Club, a project sponsored by Sky Art Foundation and Зелёный театр in the city of Odessa.
Titled ‘Long game’, the mural reflects on the state of mind of our current modern society, where people seem tired of negotiations and dialogues and battles, but often still not able to make decisions or to face up unpleasantness.
Not unlike the rest of Morik’s artistic production, we are here confronted with a marvellous composition that challenges pur perception by combining recognisable figurative scenes with abstract shapes and abstractions, using colour as a unifying element in the composition.
