Tellas is currently enjoying the summer in beautiful Sardinia, where he recently painted this new mural in Lanusei, a small town located north for Cagliari.
Titled “Revealing the past” and painted on a derelict wall, the new mural explores the relationship between past and present, new and old, in a poetic manner. Making use of light blues that gradually transform into ethereal shades of green as they reach the ground, as well as organic forms and shapes so characterise of his work. Natural motifs that, abstracted and persistently repeated, evoke a sense of vastness that, eventually, translates into a feeling of calmness, nostalgia and enigmatic beauty. A testimony to the artist’s fascination for ethereal and untouched landscapes rendered through a delicate line-work over a grading and soothing colour scheme, that, in this case, leaves some of the original untouched surface exposed, revealing the wall’s past and highlight its presence. Beautiful work as always, Fabio!
