Last time I heard from Argentinian artist David Petroni was under the TRAMA festival a few months ago. Now he is back with this new mural painted for the second edition of the ColorBA festival in Buenos Aires curated by Tamara Selvood from Collage Lab.
Born in 1984 and having studied both Graphic Design at Universidad de Buenos Aires (FADU), and visual arts at Universidad Nacional de Arte (UNA), David Petroni has developed through the years a styled based in his constant research of colours and how we perceive them. After spending a couple of years in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, he moved back to Argentina where he currently works as a curator of the Argentinian Museo a cielo abierto (Open air museum) in Buenos Aires, as well as developing his continuous aesthetic research through different media. Here are a few images of the work.
