Valencia-based gallery PlasticMurs will be opening a new group show this Friday featuring the work of ten renowned artists in the world of urban art, and contemporary art and illustration.
Titled Painters Painting, the exhibition will be presenting works by Polish legend Robert Proch, Italian Vesod, Dutch artists TelmoMiel and Joram Roukes, Spanish Dourone and Dulk, French artists Mantra, Raturone and Sckaro, andPortuguese artist Nuno Viegas.
The exhibition intends to highlight the intrinsic connection between urban art, fine art, illustration and photography that unites the work of these ten artists. This connection, not only opens for a discussion about how the one movement leads to the next one as part of a natural development in their artistic careers, but also about the relevance of those artistic expressions and practices that not only form part of our popular culture, but that also have been integrated and absorbed by established modern cultural institutions, redefining the concept of what we call fine art.
Painters Painting opens this Friday, June 21, running through July 24 at the gallery located in Calle Denia 45, Valencia, Spain. For more information about the exhibition and available works contact the gallery:
