These amazing street art pieces are the work of Argentinian artist Tec, a founding member of FASE, a multidisciplinary art, design and music collective. Tec started his artistic career painting in the streets during the 1990’s, first experimenting with letter-based graffiti and later developing an interest in the visual power of iconic images.
Tec (together with FASE and the DOMA art collective) was a creative force behind the so-called ‘Muñequismo’ movement which has been defined as “a graphic design influenced form of street art which stood out for its use of latex paint, bright colours, friendly characters and overwhelming positivity.” The movement was hugely influential in defining the aesthetics and philosophy of Argentinian urban art in the years following the country’s economic crash back in 2001.
Don’t forget to have a look at his website for some truly amazing work.
